I can’t speak highly enough about Tess and the work and commitment that she puts behind her clients. She came in as a Day of + and helped me out tremendously, mostly with the venue. But, between balancing corporate America, Mitzvah Chit Chat, three dogs, two kids’, their logistics and everything else on any given day, I needed some extra help. Tess of Events by Tess was originally supposed to be our Day of Person. We love the guitar influence during the service because it creates a warm experience for our guests of which many aren’t Jewish. We hired Andy Dennen to play guitar during the service. I was really happy that they that led our service. As the years have unfolded, I have felt a strong connection to our Rabbi and Cantor. The service was at BJBE and officiated by Cantor Frost and Rabbi Kedar. ![]() ![]() And, I do want to celebrate the amazing vendors who made this day so special. However, this is my exception because with great enthusiasm, I do want to share Alexa’s Bat Mitzvah. Other than this Chat and Tell, you will find that I am Vendor agnostic on the walls of I don’t feel that on a regular basis what I personally like or dislike or have to say should bleed through the discussions. And, while we did use several of the same vendors from our first in 2016, I did find that the Premier Featured Vendors and the discussions in the group were strong influencers in my round 2 decision-making. While I started the group 2 1/2 years ago after our first, I used the group quite a lot while planning this one. I am grateful for Chicago Mitzvah Chit Chat. Why? Because this is my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah! They offer a huge selection of breakfast items with a kids under twelve "mini chit chatters" menu The Chit Chat Diner is open 7days/week from 7 AM - 10 PM. The large diner style menu, served in huge portions, is prepared in typical diner style quality, though slightly higher priced than other NJ diners. On a cloudless day, with the sun setting behind you, there is an awesome view of New York City. ![]() The layout in the 180-seat diner resembles an Alice and wonderland theme, with spacious high ceilings, radiant chandeliers dripping with varicolored crystals, booths upholstered in kitschy red, purple, green and polka-dot fabrics, and black-and-white checkerboard design throughout. located on top of a hill with a stellar view of the New York City skyline, this bizarre-looking dark-stoned castle like structure is hard to miss as you drive by along Eagle Rock Ave. In 2017 he purchased the Eagle Rock Diner (closed since 2015) and completely renovated the restaurant and reopened it as the Chit Chat Diner in 2018. ![]() Katsanos is a restaurant veteran beginning his career in Manhattan in 1978. The Chit Chat Diner is Co- owned (with Frank Shizas - his son-in-law) and operated by Gus Katsanos, who also Co-owns the Chit Chat Diner in Hackensack with his brother-in-law. They are family friendly and a great place to take kids. You could as easily find yourself dining theme park. Compared to the older, classic new jersey diners, Chit Chat isn't a diner. The Chit Chat Diner in West Orange, NJ is an example of the new wave of Jersey diners: Big, bold, and brassy, with an alcohol menu. Liquor: Full bar service Restaurant Review Served with French fries For dessert, The Big Fat Chocolate cake, a hefty piece of moist seven-layer confection topped by chunks of super-rich chocolate brownie. Recommended dishes: When available, for breakfast, the light fig and Gouda French toast w/ creamy Gouda cheese stuffed between pan challah French toast For Lunch, The Bourbon Street Burger, w/ Jack Daniel's sauce, Applewood smoked bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, & crisp fried red onions. Not Recommended For: Diners who prefer a traditional, formal setting with fine dining amenities. Recommended For: Diners who enjoy a large diner styled menu in a bold amusement themed atmosphere.
